Mind Sports workshop in half-term break - Year 4-6

There is something special about seeing children enjoying themselves playing board games which are both fun and educational.  The conversation which is developed as they discuss their strategies is a skill which is being lost these days as many children spend their entertainment time using electronic games or sitting in front of the television.

The Mind Games Workshops will be returning to Guernsey for the 15th successive year this month during half-term.  Instructors teach children within the workshops how to play educational games, before running the Guernsey Junior Mind Sports Olympiad to find the individual Primary Champion, Secondary Champion and also the best team from both Primary Schools and Secondary Schools.  The emphasis is on having fun but on the Friday the learning has a competitive edge.  The workshops are inclusive and as such, open to all children aged 8 to 15 years.

This event is for all children who like to learn and play games.

If you are interested in your child taking part in the annual Mind Games workshop which is being held at Grammar School from 24th-28th October, come and grab a form from the school office.
