Here at Vauvert we have a friendly and vibrant PTFA.
We hold meetings at every term and then additional meetings if required for specific purposes, eg organising the Summer Festival. Everyone is very welcome to attend. We organise regular fundraising events and initiatives throughout the year, typically including a movie night at school, a disco for each key stage, a Christmas grotto where children can purchase small gifts for their family and friends, and for the family events at Oaty & Joey’s, which we hire out exclusively for the evening.
In recent years we have been able to help fund:
- additional resources for the Reception classes including new trikes and a reading corner;
- a climbing frame in the Key Stage 1 playground;
- the renovation of the school library;
- the renovation of the secret garden;
- the climbing wall in the Key Stage 2 playground;
- an iPad for every class;
- an iMac for creative projects and
- numerous outdoor learning resources.
In addition, we help with funding smaller projects such as purchasing recorders and ukuleles, leavers' gifts for Year 6 and the school fish tank.
